Public holiday changes to services

There will be changes to Jubilee services with the upcoming public holidays.

These will fall from April 7-10 (Good Friday to Easter Monday) as well as Tuesday, April 25 (Anzac Day) and Monday, May 1 (Labour Day).

On these days essential services of personal care and medication assistance will be provided while domestic assistance, meal preparation, social support, respite and shopping services will not be.

Also, please note that your services supplied on these public holidays may not be with a known support worker and might not be at your preferred time due to staffing limitations.

The office will be closed on these public holidays. For more information phone the Jubilee office on 3871 3220.

Jubilee workers highly trained

Jubilee Community Care’s support workers undergo mandatory training every year to assist them to provide the best possible care to you in the home.

Our support workers are more than just cleaners, drivers and the shopping person. Many have industry-recognised qualifications encompassing a variety of training areas including dementia, palliative care, safe work practices, diversity, the legalities behind aged care, and more.

This is in addition to Jubilee’s annual training in medication management, infection control, manual handling, and fire safety. Certificates in first aid and CPR are also essential to the support worker role. Finally, Jubilee offers additional training throughout the year around topics such as food safety, nutrition, elder abuse, continence, assistive technologies, professional boundaries, and more.

Our support workers have earned the right to be valued for the care, compassion and commitment they show each and every day to our clients.
