Volunteer - Jubilee Community Care

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older individuals? We welcome volunteers who are keen to use or expand their skills while positively impacting our community.

If you’re interested in contributing your time, we’d be delighted to have a conversation with you. Here are some ways you can get involved:

Administration and Office Tasks: Help us with essential administrative duties.
Outings: Join us on our outings and support with driving and assisting our clients during these excursions.
Marketing: Engage in various marketing activities such as social media management, advertising, PR, and copywriting. You could also lend a hand with our shopping centre information displays or contribute to newsletter production and distribution.

All volunteers will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to have a significant impact on communities across the world. Jubilee Community Care has always been well prepared to meet the challenges that arose from this pandemic.

We continue to be committed to ensuring our clients safely receive the services they expect as well as being committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our staff.

Jubilee continues to to strictly adhere to the protocols set by Queensland Health and our staff have undergone appropriate training to ensure the wellbeing of our clients and themselves.

Out and About

We provide social activities, regular outings and a range of exercise classes which keep you active and engaged with other people. These include picnics in the park, visits to local attractions, fish and chips at the seaside, shopping expeditions, falls prevention classes and information sessions about the latest developments in Brisbane aged care services.

The truth is that my wife and I cannot exist in our home of 49 years without the help of Jubilee Community Care. My wife has macular degeneration; my left arm and leg are weak following a stroke; I cannot safely shower myself and I require help with dressing. A care worker from Jubilee arrives every day to provide the necessary assistance. They act with professionalism and propriety. What is more they arrive at designated times. If something occurs to delay them Jubilee notifies us in advance. A Jubilee care worker takes my wife to help with our weekly shoppingso we can “eat, drink and be as merry” as much as we are able. Thanks to Jubilee Community Care. May they long continue!
