At Jubilee Community Care our concern is your welfare, safety and independence. We provide more than services in the home. We believe in looking after your social, emotional and physical wellbeing too. As such, Jubilee has a full calendar of activities, educational forums, health programs and support groups to help meet your wider needs. Jubilee Community Care is here to support you.
Throughout 2017, we will be providing, free of charge, bi-monthly
support groups for carers and people dealing with dementia within our local community.
Dementia is a chronic or persistent disorder with a range of
symptoms associated with a decline in memory or other thinking skills severe enough to reduce a person’s ability to perform everyday activities. It is a tough topic of conversation and can be isolating for carers.
There are more than 353,800 Australians living with dementia and an estimated 1.2 million people are involved in the care of a person with dementia. We would like to offer support and education around this topic to our local community.
These dementia support sessions will cover educational topics such as communicating with dementia, understanding dementia in its many forms, supporting your loved one in daily activities, how to be
supportive, where to find support, Q&As as well as networking with people in the same situation and experts in the field of Dementia.
“Dementia is hard to deal with when your loved one develops it. Since 1989, we have been supporting clients and their families through this next stage of life. We want to offer our expertise and knowledge to more people in our local community. If you are dealing with a loved one with dementia, we want you to know that you are not alone!” Shaun Riley, Director, Jubilee Community Care.
If you or someone you know may find this sessions helpful, please RSVP to reserve your spot by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 07 3871 3220.
