Library and Tech Talk at Kenmore

Get to know the services on offer through Brisbane’s libraries at an upcoming session at Kenmore Library on Thursday, April 24.

Aside from borrowing books, council libraries provide a wide range of services including book clubs, reading programs, computer training, events and workshops.

The library introduction will include the chance to become a library member (valid at any Brisbane City Council library). If you wish to join on the day a photo ID and proof of address is required. This can be a combination of various documents if a driver’s licence is no longer available.

The April 24 session for Jubilee clients will also include time with a tech expert who can answer questions you have about functions on your mobile phone.

This first library talk and tech class is one of many Jubilee and Kenmore Library can host this year if there is enough interest by clients. Other potential classes in the coming months can include internet and email basics, information about artificial intelligence and fake news, interesting podcasts, social media basics, photo editing, brain training and more.

Lunch will follow each session, with the first being held at Cafe Bliss at Kenmore Village after the April 24 session.

Participating clients may be able to be picked up and dropped home on the Jubilee Wanderers’ activities bus. Alternatively, clients can find their own transport to the sessions and home again.

If you are interested in joining the first session on library services and mobile phone use on April 24 phone 3871 3220 or email activities@jccagedcare.org.au to book your place. RSVPs are essential.
