Nicky’s Business Award Recognition

The calibre of staff at Jubilee Community Care is exceptional. From the support workers our clients see day to day to the client support co-ordinators and other office staff who oversee client wellbeing, all are highly trained and perform their roles with integrity and care.

And now the outstanding work of Jubilee’s client support manager Nicky Panagopoulos has been recognised. Nicky was named as one of three finalists in the Community Dedication and Social Justice category of the Women in Business Awards of Australia (Greater Brisbane). The awards honour women who possess vision, innovation, entrepreneurial drive, leadership, individuality and tenacity.

Nicky has been with Jubilee for 11 years, working as a training officer and senior coordinator before her current role. As a registered nurse Nicky’s career has been defined by a passion to support others and an integrity that always sees her achieve above and beyond for those she serves.

Nicky attended the gala awards ceremony in late September with her husband Theo, Jubilee director Shaun Riley and events officer Vidya Muthanna. She said she was surprised and thrilled to be honoured and found it a very uplifting and empowering experience. “I felt a great responsibility and very humbled to be given the opportunity to represent Jubilee, demonstrating and highlighting the work we do in the community for older people to assist them to remain living in their own homes safely and also representing our growing and capable workforce of mainly woman in their respective roles at Jubilee,’’ Nicky said.

And Nicky’s outlook and heart are a perfect fit for Jubilee. “We have a great and very supportive team here at Jubilee,’’ she said. “Within our industry we have seen many changes and challenges over the past few years and we know there are more ahead. Jubilee has built on the opportunities that change can bring and remained relevant while continuously growing at a steady pace. “I go into work every day knowing I am personally contributing, have a purpose and that I am making a difference in my role at Jubilee for valued clients and our wonderful staff.’’
